About

Hello! I’m Toni. Welcome to my Organic Shepherdess blog.  I am mad about organic living, and want to share with you my thoughts, ideas and tips about living the organic way. You don’t need lots of land, money or time – just passion!

I have travelled an eclectic career path, with many years of teaching and professional practice in psychology, biology, aromatherapy, sports therapy and now, skincare formulation.

Initially as a hobby, I began holistic training in massage, aromatherapy, sports therapy and infant massage instruction. This led to several years of voluntary work with Uttoxeter Gymnastic National Development Squad and Cheshire East Special Olympics team. I have also co-owned a holistic therapy salon and accredited training school, and have now branched into formulating and selling organic skincare, and running workshops.

Throughout all this, I have followed a lifestyle that I am passionate about – organic living. We have a smallholding where we practice organic principles in caring for our animals and growing our own fruit and veggies. We have a small flock of rare and native breeds of sheep, 3 alpaca boys and a small flock of bantam hens. Our sheep and alpacas donate their fleeces once a year at shearing, and our bantams donate delicious organic and free-range eggs (in a variety of colours!). As a vegetarian, neither the sheep nor hens are ever on the menu!

I would love to share my ideas about organic living with you, and for you to share yours with me!
